About Monica Washington (Certified CHW, LCMT, Holistic Health Practitioner)

Monica Washington is a certified Community Health Worker, a licensed California and nationally certified Massage Therapist. She received her B.A from California State University Long Beach, majoring in Print Journalism and minoring in Dance. After pursuing both fields as a freelance journalist, dance teacher and performer, a dance injury ushered her into the field of bodywork, and in 2009 she received a technical degree in Massage Therapy from Fremont College. She further received an A.S. in Holistic Health Studies from Ventura College, and took various courses in the field of Addiction and Trauma. She is currently pursuing a second degree for a B.S. in Health Science to enhance her knowledge and abilities as a Community Health Worker. Ms. Washington Specializes in Reproductive Health and Hygiene, Pregnancy, Birth and Miscarriage education; Trauma and Stress Management; and is trained in offering education and resources focusing on preventive care for various health conditions. Inspired by her own life journey, Ms. Washington founded a nonprofit whose aim is to shine a light and bring an end to the U.S. Black & Indigenous Maternal Healthcare Crisis.
